No, really, this is the last glimpse!

So, here is the last glimpse - I have no more projects to share!  This is a cute little double pocket that can hold cards on each side.  Simply fold a 12x12 sheet of paper diagonally, then bring the corners that were folded in to the center about 5-1/2 inches, points on the fold line.  Make a "w" fold by folding again 3/4 inch away from the middle fold on each side.  I used the slot punch to create a place to thread our chocolate chip wide grosgrain ribbon, which I tied with our certainly celery narrow grosgrain ribbon. 

The cards are both the same, but with different color schemes.  I used a wide piece of the Delicate dots designer series papers, flanked on both sides by chocolate chip cardstock finished with our scallop edge punch.  I tied chocolate chip wide grosgrain ribbon around both, added the flowers in certainly celery, bashful blue, and/or barely banana stamped with Polka dot punches and punched with our 5-flower punch.  Then stamped the sentiment from hugs & wishes in chocolate chip ink. 

Isn't this a great card, and so ideally suited to CASE'ing with another print, another color scheme, another flower!  I can't wait to make more!

Last glimpse at SAB products

It's so sad - in just two days, the Sale-a-bration stamp sets and accessories will be retiring and won't be available, so I thought I'd share a couple final projects with you.  Actually I have several, so this may be a double (or triple!) post!  Here's a simple page I created with our Delicate Dots designer series paper, Polka dot punches, and ribbon bundle. 

I used the silk flower and flat pearls from our Pretties kit, a bloom and ice rhinestone in celery, plus our key tag punch with the sentiment from A beautiful thing.  And the scallop is from the scallop #2 die for our Big shot.  Now all Heather (my hostess who received this page) has to do is add pictures!

This card is so easy I think I'm off to use some leftover Designer series papers to create a few more!  It's simply a strip of the stripes from Delicate Dots designer series paper (an SAB favorite - who wouldn't want 16 sheets or printed, color-coordinated paper for FREE!) on a whisper white base, a bit of certainly celery twill ribbon (another SAB accessory), a cherry blossom embosslit in bashful blue, and a sentiment from Hugs and Wishes in bashful blue ink.  I also added a gold brad to my flower for a little interest. 

This little card in my favorite 3x3 size uses Botanical blooms, another SAB set.  I stamped the images in certainly celery, brocade blue, and summer sun on whisper white cardstock.  I tore a strip of summer sun and added it to the top and bottom of my stamped piece.  Then a rounded tab punch inj brocade blue cardstock with the sentiment from All holidays finishes this little card.  And, once again, {GASP}, no ribbon (though I certainly tried!).

I just love this little thing!  It's simply a fancy Hershey's candy (similar to the Ghirardelli candies but less expensive) that I wrapped with our SAB paper, Delicate dots.  I used our crimper on the edges to seal, and then wrapped with a strip of so saffron cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment from Short & sweet in certainly celery and punched it out of whisper white cardstock with our small oval punch.  I punched a piece of bashful blue with our large oval punch, then layered and adhered everything.  What a great birthday surprise!

New banner unveiled!

Thanks so much to everyone who commented on my banner designs, especially Stacey Matlock (contact me so I can get your appreciation gift to you!).  I so appreciate the insight and opinions (Barb, that was insightful and ingenius!).  However, I didn't pick either of the two banner samples on my post!  Why, you ask?  Well, it seemed that people liked the ease of information and swirls in the first but the shoeboxes and saying in the second. So, what could I do but combine them and come up with this new one?

So, starting April 1, this will be my new banner.  Let me know what you think of it, because you helped design it!

Another sneak peek at the Occasions mini

Sometimes I get a stamp set and can't think what to do with it, and others I have so many ideas coming out of my head I don't have time to stop to eat! So this stamp set is one of the latter - I am so excited to play with this one, especially with Father's Day and four masculine birthdays coming up in the next three months!

I went very simple with this one, using a chocolate chip cardstock base.  I stamped the background with Sanded using versamark ink.  Then I added the images from Sense of time in chocolate chip ink on kraft cardstock and placed a gold brad in the center of the clock.  I stamped the sentiment on very vanilla cardstock and punched an opening with our slot punch, then threaded chocolate chip wide grosgrain ribbon through. 

This set would be great for a collage-style project and perfect for masculine cards, thinking of you, maybe even graduation!  Can you think of any other event?

Don't you hate it when that happens?

I admit it - I am rough on my stamps.  When I clean them, I scrub them good in my stampin' scrub with a bit of stampin' mist, then scrub them some more to dry and most don't seem any worse for wear.  But some, sad to say, don't respond to well to my cleaning process. 

So I have had a couple where the rubber pulls away from the foam and makes me sad.  But, there is a way to fix them!  I thought I'd share that with you so you don't have any sad stamping days!  (Does this count as my first tutorial?)

Using a bit of my crystal effects (which is great for adhering paper, buttons, and metal as well as creating shiny accents!), I dab a bit onto the foam pad, then lay the rubber back down and set aside to dry.  Very easy and I haven't had any of my stamps complaining about my cleaning process!

Sneak peek at the Occasions mini

I found an idea for our new stamp set Forest friends that I fell in love with!  It's so easy!  Using kraft cardstock as a base, I stamped the bunny in versamark and embossed with winter white embossing powder.  I added the sentiment from Hugs & wishes in chocolate chip ink, then added chocolate chip taffeta ribbon on the side, and presto!  What a great card!

Isn't that cute?  What a perfect card for a baby, or switch it out to use the owl and you have a graduation card!  And wouldn't the deer be cute for Valentine's Day, or anniversary?  Since I had all these thoughts in my head, I thought I'd try another color for my book club buddy who just had a baby boy.

 

For this one I used almost amethyst cardstock, but kept everything else the same.  I think I may have to make an entire set!

Wanted: Inspiration for a new demonstrator

Some of you are familiar with out Inspiration Sheets released few years ago.  Each one featured a stamp set or product with ideas and suggestions for use.  One of my favorite things was the alternate suggestions for both stamp sets and color choices.  I have had these laying around forever and decided they needed to get used!  So I decided to bind one of each and am now giving them to my new recruits!

This is the one I gave to Mandy yesterday.  I used our retired Level 3 hostess gift Holiday Happenings Designer Series papers and one of my favorite sets, Big Flowers in pink pirouette ink.  I stamped the title in chocolate chip ink using Short order alphabet.  Plus, I had to add a cherry blossom die cut with a latte button.  This is a much better use for them, don't you think?

I'm so pathetic!

I've been doing this for five years, and there are times I can't come up with a good card to save my life.  So since I am not always happy with my creations (why don't they look like what's in my head???), I have CASE'd (copy and share everything) quite a few times, but I have done something I try not to do often - I have case'd myself!  But it's so difficult when I find a card that I like, and so much easier than thinking of something new.  I hope everyone at my workshops this month like it anyway!

It's such a simple card - a chocolate chip base, a band of certainly celery, and a top note die in whisper white.  Then I stamped the leaves from Wonderful you in chocolate chip and certainly celery, and stamped the leaves without re-inking on a scrap of certainly celery.  I stamped the sentiment from Cute and curly in chocolate chip, then punched out using our curly label punch.  Popped it up with stampin dimensionals and I was done.  I know - {GASP} - there's no ribbon, no brads, no embossing powder!  Sometimes less is more (at least I'm trying to tell myself that)!

3x3 cutie!

I love little things - babies, shoes, purses, kittens, puppies, notepads, etc.  Which is why I love our 3x3 cards!  So much cuteness in such a small package!  As many of you know, I do a 3x3 card for every workshop, and I thought I'd share what I'm doing for my March workshops.  And nope, I didn't use anything from Sale-a-bration!  (I'll have more ideas for SAB tomorrow!)

 

I used our new Tea Party Designer Series paper and an almost amethyst base, and added a small piece of whisper white cardstock that I edged with our scallop edge punch.  I added a band of basic gray with a cherry blossom from our embosslit on top.  Of course, I had to have a brad or ribbon, so I placed a silver brad in the middle of the flower.  I stamped the sentiment from Holidays & Wishes in certainly celery.  It is such an easy card, and so cute!

Banner, which banner?

I created new banners for my blog, but I can't decide which one I like best.  They are very similar, true, but have different creative elements.  I'm afraid if I don't stop now, I never will because there's always something I could add to make it better, different, more purple, etc!  So, I need your help!
