I have had this layout in my head since I received my sneak peek order. I thought I might be able to use it with a school picture or portrait package, but couldn't find anything that matched the colors and theme. So I pulled out pictures of the zoo with my guys and created this simple but fun page!
I just love out new Designer series paper, appropriately called Tall Tales. It matches our Animal Stories stamp set, one of our new ones in this catalog. I stamped the images along the bottom in Versamark ink to keep them subtle, and used the printed paper along the top. I don't always cut things very straight (even with a paper cutter and ruler!) so I covered the edges with 5/8 inch wide grosgrain ribbon in chocolate chip.
The title was stamped on another elephant from Animal Stories in versamark. The title is with the taffy alphabet in so saffron craft ink (I love how it shows up on rose red cardstock!) and I had to go with the pun! The journaling is with our chocolate chip marker and reads:
You enjoyed going to the zoo on Ben's birthday. The weather was perfect, the animals were out, and you have fun sharing it with Ben, Daddy, & Mommy. Let's do this again next year!
Did you notice looking at the pictures that I am, once again, not in them??? Did you also notice that I promised you I'd be creating a page with our Country Living Summer Cookout kit? Well, when I received my order, somehow my papers did not come with it, so I'm waiting (a bit impatiently!) for them to arrive and hopefully I will have something to share next Saturday.
Wish shoe stampin' (and scrapbookin') fun!
