Yes, I was roped into another auction project for my kids' school, again for Grace (that's three years out of four, and I have yet to win one!). After scrapping a couple projects, we came up with this one - it is easy, though time consuming, especially when adding 35 3rd graders!
Isn't this amazing? The teachers together created the background with oils. I brought my Cricut cartridges and dissected the Our Father prayer into 36 parts, then the kids chose what they wanted and the font they wanted to use. After cutting out each word, I brought the letters to school and each child arranged theirs on wax paper. Once I had laid them out perfectly, I peeled back a bit of the wax paper, laid the letters on the canvas, then peeled off the wax paper so that each student's letter layout was intact!
This is the certificate we are including with the auction. The kids pray the Our Father everyday, so for the rest of the school year, they will be praying for the winner of the auction! The base is creamy caramel, with creamy caramel, close to cocoa, and very vanilla inks rubbed across the surface in that order. I sponged the edges of everything with chocolate chip.
What do you think? Wouldn't you love to hang that in your favorite room? I hope to win it, but at least I know how it was made!!!
Wish shoe stampin' fun!
