Some Happy Moments to share

I had to share a couple samples from Happy Moments, an SAB set.  They make me feel, well, Happy!

This card by Jill Nolan reminds me of an idea that I never seem to remember - stamping on Designer Series papers!  She used both Old Olive and Soft Suede Patters Designer series paper, then stamped on them with backgrounds En francais and French filigree.  Plus, I just love her doodles - mine never come out right!

You can't go wrong with pretty in pink, especially with flowers!  Janice Rosenthal Rock embossed the print paper from Tea Party Designer series paper, then used it to paper piece the flowers (I would not have wanted to cut out three x 22 cards!!!).  She pulls in more dots by embossing the scallop circle as well.

Warm days have me thinking of spring...

The snow has finally started to melt and we even had temps over 50 degrees, so I was thinking spring!  I wanted to share these two swaps using Chocolate Bunny...I can see lots of projects with this stamp!

 

Doesn't this just look yummy?  Molly pulled in our Razzleberry Lemonade Designer series paper with pretty in pink, which I would have never have considered! 

I love how Debbie embossed the vellum with our new Perfect Polka Dots folder.  The bunny is embossed with clear embossing powder on close to cocoa cardstock and looks good enough to eat!  Yum!

You know you have lots of projects you want to create with this little guy (think cards, Easter scrapbook pages) so don't wait until he's gone!

Great minds think alike!

I've shared some projects my friend Stephanie has created with you before, but this time I found her cards to be eerie!  Now don't get me wrong -I love them, but, well, you'll see what I mean!

 

I told Stephanie how much I liked this color combination (certainly celery, brilliant blue and bermuda bay), and its simplicity.  She said she'd seen the combination at a store and was just waiting for the right moment to try it out.  Well, I'm glad she did - I love it. 

What do you think of this one?  She used a mini glue dot for the center of her flower paper clip, and added some bling with dazzling diamonds glitter.  I also like how she used just a portion of the top note die.  And again, the colors!  Gorgeous!

Did you notice what was so eerie?  If you remember my post about my swap cards (here and here), you'll notice that we both chose basic gray and kraft cardstocks for our card bases, plus we neither one used purple, which is both our favorite colors!  And we didn't discuss ahead of time what we were doing!  Eerie, don't you think???

Fancy folds with Fox & friends

Wait until you see this swap!  I couldn't wait to share it with you.  This is why I keep swapping with these gals - they make the most gorgeous cards!

This is the card flat (or at least as flat as I could get it!).  The cardmaker, Janice Rosenthal Rock, used our Tall tales Designer series paper for the panels.  She stamped the characters from Fox & friends on whisper white and more Designer series paper, which I never remember to do but always love when another stamper does!

This is the card open - beautiful isn't it?  I love the little dangling monkey, especially since I don't have the inclination to cut things out.  I really should - cut outs are so cute!

Vintage labels swap

Here's my second swap card using our new Sale-a-bration set called Vintage Labels.  Getting this in our unmounted set makes placement a breeze!

Does this card look familiar?  I made one like this using our curly label punch kit (you can see it here) and figured this would be a great one with this new stamp set. The front is crushed curry with crushed curry dotted ribbon wrapped around and knotted.  I punched a window out of the front using the curly label punch.

I stamped the image and sentiment in basic gray (which was easy to line up!) and punched with our curly label punch, then punched the same shape out of the front of the card to make a window.  The flower is in basic gray with our three for you punch with a fire circle rhinestone brad. 

Meet my new friends...Fox & friends!

Here's a bit of a sneak peek of a stamp set from the upcoming Occasions Mini brochure.  I was drawn to this stamp set, Fox & friends, for a couple reasons.  I realized recently that I don't have that many sets that are kid-friendly, and it's just too stinkin' cute!

Isn't this just adorable?  I found this card sketch on splitcoaststampers using an alligator, and thought it would work perfect with this new set.  I used melon mambo and chocolate chip on a kraft background, with a bit of paper piercing (which I've never done!).  I'll have to make another with blue though - it seems that whenever I need a baby card, I have the wrong gender, so I am going to be proactive and make sure I'm covered!

Another My Digital Studio creation

I am a huge fan of sketches, scrapbooking or cards.  I carry a notebook around in which I draw ideas for classes, newsletters, and more. The thing I love about My Digital Studio is that it is so easy to use these sketches and just add images, papers, accessories and more!

 

I used our crushed curry for the background, then added the print with scallop edges.  The flowers are punches in chocolate chip and whisper white with a flower button from our latte set.  The ribbon in chocolate chip was added last, with a knot for interest. 

What I love about this card is it is so easy to change the colors, the feel of the card (wouldn't hearts be perfect for Valentine's?), and more!  Talk to me if you want more information!

Don't bug me...I'm stamping!

I am so busy...making 100 cards for my friend, Katie, so if you don't hear from me for a couple days, you know why!

This idea I received from a swap; Katie saw it and was instantly hooked!  I used up my riding hood red stash, but you could easily use ruby red or real red.  My favorite part is the bird from Cardinal Christmas is embossed in clear embossing powder, so I don't have to color 100 cardinals!

Just delightful!

I had used the same 3x3 card for several vendor fairs and a couple workshops, and was ready for something new, so I came up with this one!  I love how simple it is, and it's just too cute!

I used a one inch strip of our Holiday Traditions Designer series paper, with a scalloped chocolate chip strip beneath.  The ornament is from our Delightful Decorations stamp set with our ornament punch.  Fun!

Merry Christmas, MDS style

I need a 12-step program...for My Digital Studio!  I usually open my computer, check my email and FB accounts, look at Stampin' Up!'s website, then done.  But now, I just want to play with MDS and just create stuff!  Here's one I created soon after I loaded it on my computer.

One of my favorite card layouts, it goes together really fast!  I love how easy it is to change colors, move things about, alter sizes - I think I'll be using this quite a bit for project execution!
