The special purchase Growth Chart has been a great find for teachers! One teacher placed it on her door with some lofty goals for its use this year!
Dale from Louisiana says that since she takes a picture of each student on the first day of school, she'll naturally take it in front of the grow chart. At the end of the year, another picture will be taken and both will go home with a final writing project to show growth over that school year.
It will also be used during Math (a given) to compare length and height of various objects. She plans to invite other classrooms to send their tallest and shortest and compare to the students in her room - a great graphing project!
For reading, it will become a great thermometer of her students' reading achievements. Each student will have their name on a punched shaped that will follow up the gauge of books read. This will help the students to become better readers by having a visual representation of their accomplishments.
If you have a classroom door you'd like to decorate, first make sure to speak with the building supervisor, principal, or other important person! Then purchase your growth chart by using my online ordering or sending me an email.
